🗞 Culture news this week:
🎛 BSQUARED is a new production studio in Govan, designed and led by Colin Brown and Jon Bruce. The duo spoke to Josh Carmichael at The Herald about the new venture.
🎚 Meanwhile, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) unveiled a new advanced recording studio in the hopes of bagging more Hollywood clients. - Sandhya Suresh, Glasgow Times.
🤠 And it seems to be working. Kevin Costner spoke to BBC Scotland about using the RSNO to record the soundtrack of his new film, Horizon: An American Saga. - Pauline McLean.
🎵 Glass Tank, 'A Whirlpool of Artists', is a new creative project that will see DJs, bands and artists perform sets between the brewery tanks of Drygate to be broadcast online. More info.

🕶 Kelburn Garden Party, a music and arts festival, starts tomorrow. More info.

🪑 Slancha - Under One Roof is a new furniture and homeware exhibition at Stallan Brand from July 6 - August 16 bringing together 14 talented makers from across Scotland. Free but ticketed.

🎪 The 8th annual Govanhill International Festival and Carnival, “An Anti-Racist Festival of Creativity, Solidarity, and Liberation” returns from August 1-11. Info.

🎥 Filming for the new BBC show Only Child starring Greg McHugh and Gregor Fisher starts in Glasgow this week. - Kirsty Feerick, Glasgow Times.
🎨 Glasgow artist Juano Diaz was profiled in Attitude by Alastair James after winning a Pride Award from the magazine: He writes: “Juano Diaz’s art is a direct response to the traumatic experiences he’s lived through over the years. After surviving dark times, he is now celebrating light and life.”
🍇 Still a Creature, a new exhibition from poet and artist Lily Paine, opens at Made From Grapes this evening. The show will run until July 31. Instagram.
