🚨 A 70-year-old man died on Victoria Road following a serious assault on Friday night. A boy, 15, has been charged in connection with the incident and is due in court today. - Gabriel Mackay, The Herald.
Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson said: “At this time, our thoughts remain with the deceased’s family and friends, as they come to terms with their tragic loss. I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with our enquiries.”
↪ Meanwhile, a man was taken to hospital following an incident on Allison Street on Friday afternoon. Two men, 22 and 42, and two boys, 14 and 15, were charged in connection. Police say the incidents are being treated as separate. - John-Paul Clark, Daily Record.

📌 Govanhill Spring Clean planned for 27 April. Local residents, organisations, charities and businesses are coming together for a Govanhill Spring Clean event. The plan is to meet at the Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre on Dixon Ave in Govanhill on the 27 April at 10:30am. They day will begin with a briefing before teams of folk will head out to pick up litter. Volunteers will meet back at the community centre for refreshments at 12:15.
