🔥 Glasgow School of Art bosses say they can "appreciate and understand" concerns over 19 months of 'inertia' over the rebuild of the Mack that has been described as a "scandal" which will add millions to its estimated cost of more than £100m. - Exclusive by Martin Williams, The Herald.
⮑ Today The Herald launches a new series re-investigating the devastating fires. It will feature interviews with leading fire and architectural experts, politicians and staff past and present as well as reflecting on the legacy of one of Glasgow's most famous sons.

🪧 More than 700 people have signed a petition against cuts to a Glasgow mentoring service in the first 24 hours since its launch. - Ann Fotheringham, Glasgow Times.
🌳 Around 150 residents descended on Cathkin Park yesterday in a desperate bid to have a metal barrier removed. The protest was sparked after the council gave permission to a private football academy to erect the fence, despite their lease being granted in 2022 on the grounds that the facility will be ‘open to all’. - Campaigners spoke to Kirsty Feerick of the Glasgow Times.

🚈 Passengers are ‘highly unlikely’ to see the return of trains every 15 minutes on ScotRail’s Glasgow to Edinburgh route restored for some time, according to a report in The Scotsman today.
💃 The Corset Club, a new LGBTQ+ friendly cocktail and show bar is due to open in the Merchant City on Thursday this week. It’s run by 28-year-old local Callum Raymond Young, who told Sean Murphy of Glasgow Live it was a ‘dream’ coming true.

🙋♂️ Glasgow is currently supporting more asylum seekers than any other local UK council area. New data, uncovered by Stewart Paterson in the Glasgow Times, shows Glasgow at the moment is home to almost 5000 asylum seekers.
