🎨 Fears have been raised that companies are “exploiting” a planning loophole to create huge mural adverts. The claims follow the appearance of an EE advert depicting three Scotland players in Dennistoun. - Craig Williams, The Herald.
↳ MSP Ivan McKee said: “We all want to see high-quality street art brightening up the city, but commercial businesses should not be able to use loopholes to bypass regulations and avoid engagement with the local community.”
🏩 Hotels used to accommodate homeless people were inspected just six times last year despite rampant complaints about unacceptable conditions. - Stewart Paterson, Glasgow Times.
💰 The council could lose £16.5 million if it goes ahead with planned teacher cuts, Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth confirmed. - Calum Ross, The Scotsman.
↳ Ms Gilruth said: “Glasgow have been offered funding of £16.5m in 2024/25 to maintain teacher numbers, which is of course their share of the £145.5m.”
