🌊 A huge project to transform the Clydeside and create a Glasgow River Park is underway called “Custom House Quay and Carlton Place”. A public consultation event will be held on October 9. More info.
🎨 Bosses at the CCA have announced the venue will close “temporarily” from December 2024 to March 2025 in a bid to “focus on restructuring and ensuring financial recovery”. Full statement via Instagram.
🚗 Albion Automotive, a 125-year-old vehicle part manufacturer based in Scotstoun, will close permanently on October 4 with around 100 jobs impacted. - Ava Whyte, Glasgow Times.

↳ Eight venues covered by the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board are covered: The Princess Royal Maternity/Glasgow Royal Infirmary, New Victoria Hospital, Stobhill Hospital, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, the Sandyford Clinic, Ross Hall Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and the Vale of Leven Hospital.

💐 Death Club is a new free event series aimed at tackling the stigma surrounding grief to give people a safe space to talk, connect and share. The first event is October 23 at The Snug, Ubiquitous Chip. - More info.

📌 Glasgow Life Museums has created an Intercultural Youth Group programme to experiment with different ways in which museums and galleries can provide a space for underserved communities in Glasgow. Applications are open here if you are a young person aged 18 – 26, belonging to an ethnic minority group and are interested in community, heritage, art, and culture. 📌 Sculptor Ahuva Zeloof is exhibiting as part of the ‘Balance & Harmony’ glass exhibition taking place at the Glasgow Trades Hall. The show is a landmark one, hosted jointly by two of the most important societies in the UK for visual artists working in the medium of glass: the Scottish Glass Society and the Contemporary Glass Society. This is a rare chance to see Ahuva Zeloof’s work in person. She’s exhibited alongside icons of contemporary art such as David Hockney, Lucien Freud and Sir Peter Blake, and has been profiled by Forbes, FAD, and Wall Street International, amongst others.
