🎂 Glasgow City Council has unveiled some brand-spanking-new branding to mark the city’s 850th birthday next year. Designed with the help of Saracen Primary pupils, the new look nods to the bird, tree, bell and fish symbols. - Ann Fotheringham, Glasgow Times.

🔫 Following a vote at Glasgow University about divesting from arms companies in the wake of Israel’s war on Gaza, a statement was released by the institution claiming: “With regard to investments, Court recognised the important role our campus community plays in shaping the University’s values and how these are reflected in our investment strategy. Consequently, the University will undertake a full consultation with the University community on our Socially Responsible Investment Policy with a view to revising and strengthening it (this work to be completed as soon as possible but no later than November). - Mark McDougall, The Herald.
