🗳 Stewart Paterson was at Emirates Arena last night. He’s written a brilliant snapshot of the vibe for Glasgow Times. “Following the nationwide exit poll and as votes began to be emptied, it was becoming clear the story was one of success for Labour.”
🗳 Glasgow City Council got in a spot of trouble after giving voters the wrong advice at Notre Dame primary school’s polling station. - BBC.
↳ Voters were assured their ballots would still be counted after they were told to rank candidates instead of placing an X next to one name.
🥁 Ahead of Saturday’s Boyne parade, which will see tens of thousands march for the Orange Order, Stewart Paterson met with senior officers to discuss the institution. You can read his reporting for Glasgow Times here.
🚇 I’ve written my latest column for The Herald on why I think SPT is getting too much flack for the ZoneCard shambles. You can read it here.
🥫 School menus will be changed to include more beans for children as part of the Full of Beans campaign. - Sarah Hilley, Local Democracy Reporter, Glasgow Times.

↳ She replied: “As leader of the council I would never seek to trade off parts of the city against each other. All points of the compass in Glasgow have amazing things to offer.”
👨⚖️ Four men are to stand trial accused of the murder of Tony Ferns in Thornliebank in 2019. The case is Police Scotland’s only unsolved murder. - Grant McCabe, Glasgow Times.

It bothers me slightly that the Tony Ferns murder is being reported by the Glasgow Times as the only unsolved murder since the formation of Police Scotland. Whilst technically true, we know there are several unsolved murders in Scotland that Police Scotland remain responsible for solving regardless of whether they happened prior to the one force mode being introduced.
