๐ Amyl and The Sniffers, iconic Australian punks, recently hosted a special soundcheck and Q&A session for young musicians from Girls Rock Glasgow ahead of their sell-out O2 Academy show. The event aimed to inspire and empower the next generation of female musicians. The band shared their experiences, offered advice, and encouraged the girls to pursue their musical passions. This initiative highlights the band's commitment to supporting women in the music industry and fostering a more inclusive environment.
๐ A bunch of chums who first met at a jazz session in a Glasgow bar are promoting a gig by a world famous guitarist, just because they wanted to hear him play live themselves! The gig is by Robin Nolan (one of George Harrisons favourite guitarists) and it's on at Cottiers Theatre on November 24. The guys decided to ask Robin if he wanted to play Glasgow on his upcoming tour and Robin said, 'If you organise it, I will!'. Robin will be playing tunes from his new album on Dark Horse Records, "For The Love of George" as well as some Django Reinhardt classics. - More info.
